Experience a Truly British London

Here are a few things that we feel make London, well, London. If you’re looking to experience the heart of the UK’s Capital, then read on for some great suggestions.

What would British summertime be without strawberries and cream, and a spot of tennis? Every year Wimbledon captivates a worldwide audience, and Centre Court has become somewhat of a British treasure. But you don’t need to don your sweatbands to stand where the likes of Federer and Murray have battled it out. Visit the Wimbledon Lawn Museum, and you can stroll around the famous courts, elegant Water Gardens, and even the notorious press interview room.

London would also not be London without the spectacular Houses of Parliament. These beautiful buildings sit masterfully along the Thames, with the famous Big Ben standing proud. Open to the UK public and all overseas visitors, anyone and everyone can have a good nose around. And if you’re feeling political, you can even attend debates, or watch a committee hearing!

And what’s a visit to the Capital, without an exploration of its beautifully tended Royal Parks? London boasts eight parks that stretch across the city, covering a massive 5,000 acres of land. And if Parliament left you feeling political, why not visit Hyde Park’s soapbox and let of some steam?

After a busy day taking in the sites, you’re bound to work up an appetite. London is famous for its international cuisine, but if you’re visiting from overseas then you’ll probably want to taste some traditional English fare.
